  The story of Sulakshana Devi to whom principles are the biggest thing in her life. She is a widow with two sons and a daughter and lives in a chawl. The landlord of the chawl behaves badly with her and robs her of her money. Her younger son Karan tries to settle things with the landlord but is sent to the children's remand home.
