An American soldier stationed in England during World War II begins a relationship with a London showgirl. She is intigued with the mobster lifestyle and he finds himself under her seductive powers despite the fact that he is also dating a more upscale proper English woman and already has a life back in America. The couple slowly begin a streak of petty crimes which include the theft of an army vehicle and a fur coat and eventually escalate to the murder of a London cab driver.
