This boxed set features all 34 episodes from series 5 and 6, originally broadcast in 1982 and 1983. Grange Hill series 5 - It's a new term at Grange Hill & new pupils including Zammo McGuire, Roland Browning, Annette Firman & Fay Lucas start at the school; Gripper Stebson quickly finds himself a new victim. Jonah Jones & Zammo create havoc with stink bombs, much to the amusement of the boys. The offer of sex education lessons causes a mixture of mirth, embarrassment and consternation to both pupils and parents alike. An accusation of impropriety rocks the school and Stebson's bullying culminates in a tragic accident. These are just some of the issues dealt with by head teacher, Mrs McClusky, as the term unfolds at Grange Hill. Grange Hill Series 6 - A school trip to St Albans takes a potentially dangerous turn when Annette Firman & Julie Marchant foolishly accept a lift from strangers. Romance blossoms for Claire Scott & Stewpot as they get caught necking in a cupboard. Despite recent events, Gripper Stebson's bullying escalates into racism that results in his suspension from the school. Mr McGuffey, often a quiet champion of satirical subversion, is suspended by Mrs McClusky leading the pupils to organise a rally for his return.

| RRP Paul Nicholas and Jan Francis are outstanding in their roles as Vince - the cockney unreliable Jack-the-lad with a witty one-liner for every occasion - and Penny - the posh prim and proper lady. When Vince got cold feet and left Penny standing at the altar Penny got on with her life and tried to forget Vince once and for all. Five years and a chance meeting later Penny's feelings are rekindled feelings that she thought were gone forever. Insisting that they would remain 'just good friends' but with emotions resurfacing a classic love-hate on-off relationship is (once again) established. Exacerbating Vince and Penny's predicament are both sets of parents Vince's - Les and Rita - are all leopard print and Brylcreem whilst Penny's - Daphne and Norman - are quite the opposite wine tasting and twin set types. Written by John Sullivan (Only Fools and Horses Citizen Smith) this is a classic story of love lost and found where the question on everyone's lips is will Vince and Penny remain just good friends'? Newly restored by the BBC and available for the first time in its entirety - including the long unseen 1984 Christmas special - John Sullivan's classic sit-com is still as endearing and enjoyable as when it first aired.

| RRP Based on Robert Harling's play and directed by Herbert Ross, Steel Magnolias is a comedy-drama that follows several years in the lives of women who regularly see one another at a beauty shop in their small Louisiana hometown. The story deepens as Julia Roberts, playing a serious diabetic and the daughter of Sally Field, goes downhill healthwise. But as an ensemble piece, this is one of those enjoyably lumpy tearjerkers with many years' worth of stored truths suddenly being shared between the characters, lots of grievances aired, that sort of thing. Daryl Hannah and Shirley MacLaine assume the most eccentric roles, Dolly Parton the most fun and Olympia Dukakis the most dignified, while Sally Field essentially provides the moral and emotional centre of the movie. --Tom Keogh, Amazon.com

| RRP This remastered, pan-and-scan 30th-anniversary edition of that kiddie-car caper is flawed, but nevertheless a solid family fare. It retains a quaint charm while some of the songs--including the title tune--are quite hummable. A huge plus is Dick Van Dyke, who is extremely appealing as an eccentric inventor around the turn of the century. With nimble fingers and a unique way of looking at the world, he invents for his children a magic car that floats and flies. Or does he? The special effects are tame by today's standards and the film is about 20 minutes too long--but its enthusiasm is charming. The script was cowritten by Roald Dahl and based on the novel by Ian Fleming, best known for his James Bond adventures. --Rochelle O'Gorman

| RRP LUCIFER is the story of the original fallen angel. Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles, where he has teamed up with LAPD detective Chloe Decker to take down criminals. Charming, charismatic and devilishly handsome, Lucifer has a way of manipulating people into confessing their deepest, darkest secrets, which helps Chloe deliver justice. But Lucifer quickly discovered that Chloe makes him vulnerable. When he's around her, the devil can bleed like anyone else. It's a truly scary realization that doesn't sit well with his best friend, Mazikeen aka Maze, a fierce demon in the form of a beautiful young woman. Maze wants nothing more than to leave Los Angeles and get back to her life in Hell, but Lucifer is having one helluva good time with the mortals and she is not about to leave him behind. At the end of Season One, Chloe watched Lucifer die, only to come back to life, causing more confusion over who and what he really is. Meanwhile, her estranged husband, Dan, also an LAPD detective, comes clean about his involvement in a corrupt case - jeopardizing not only his job, but also their relationship. In Season Two, Lucifer and his brother angel, Amenadiel, who've been sparring over Lucifer's resistance to returning to the underworld, will now be brought back together for one common goal - to find their mother, who's escaped Hell. After all, Lucifer doesn't take after his dad, so the parent he does resemble is sure to be quite terrifying. With mom on the loose, Dr. Linda - who's become not only a therapist, but also a confidante to Lucifer, Amenadiel and Maze - will surely have a lot of advice to dole out. And, by the time she's done with them, she may need a therapist of her own. L.A. is hotter than ever in this one-hour drama from Jerry Bruckheimer Television, based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment's Vertigo imprint.
