The kids who were once babies in the two prior films can now babble for themselves, so the script finds the adult characters taking in two mutts who do a "Lady and the Tramp" thing while we listen in. Travolta (rescued a year later in 1994's Pulp Fiction) and Alley mark time while Danny De Vito and Diane Keaton provide the most entertainment performing the dogs' voices.
