Six years after a violent car crash claimed her parent's lives Jesse is still trying to put her life back together. The situation is complicated by the fact that her parents virtually vanished as did the accident wreckage so there's no evidence for the police and certainly no closure for her. Jesse meets her fears head-on when she and a group of filmmakers break into an abandoned mental institution she immediately experiences a visceral deja-vu. The asylum seems somehow connected to her missing parents and furthermore the building is far from deserted. The group discovers that a sinister doctor has taken up residence in the building's vast underground and he is using extreme science trying to bring his wife back from the dead! The basement also contains the countless remains of the doctor's failed experiments all of which are now slowly coming back to life when they make contact with a murky substance that has begun to leak out of several holding tanks!

America never thought the Japanese could attack our forces at Pearl Harbor - especially without warning. Our leaders downplayed the threat to our Pacific Fleet while focusing on the Nazi threat in Europe. President Franklin Roosevelt desperately wanted to fight Hitler. Did he conspire with British Prime Minister Winston Churchill to get America into World War II? Even if it meant being attacked by Japan? This original Questar program answers the enduring question: Why was America
In Red Planet the only thing thicker than the Martian atmosphere (which is breathable, by the way) is the layer of clichés that nearly smothers a formulaic beat-the-clock plot. Science fiction fans are sure to be forgiving, however, because the film is reasonably intelligent, boasts a few dazzling sequences, and presents fascinating technology in the year 2057. We don't know how the Mars-1 spaceship gets to Mars in only six months (newfangled propulsion, no doubt), but we do get some cool diagnostic read-outs on tinfoil scrolls, an abundance of well-designed hardware, and a service-robot-turned-villain that's a high-tech hybrid of RoboCop, Bruce Lee, and a slinky panther with plenty of lethal attitude. A perfectly suitable companion to another Year 2000 sci-fi thriller, Pitch Black, Red Planet is a fine way to kill a couple of hours. --Jeff Shannon, Amazon.comWhen Battlefield Earth was released theatrically, this inept sci-fi epic qualified as an instant camp classic, prompting Daily Variety to call it "the Showgirls of sci-fi shoot-'em-ups". Other reviews were united in their derision, and toy stores were left with truckloads of Battlefield Earth action figures that nobody wanted. Recklessly adapted from the novel by sci-fi author and Scientology founder L Ron Hubbard and set in the year 3000, the film is no worse than many cheesy sci-fi flicks, but the sight of Travolta as a burly, dreadlocked alien from the planet Psychlo provokes unintentional laughter from first frame to final credits. The best that Battlefield Earth can hope for is a Dune-like fate: it might improve in a longer director's cut--but that's wishful thinking. --Jeff Shannon, Amazon.comKurt Russell hits new heights in laconic action heroes with his portrayal of Sergeant Todd, born and bred to be a Soldier in a futuristic army. Raised to kill mercilessly, living only for battle, he finds himself at the twilight of his career (and so-called life) when a regiment of genetically enhanced warriors threatens to make his brand of soldiering obsolete. Soldier is one of those rare sci-fi movies that relies more on plot and action than special effects (though the trash planet is effectively wrought). The pace of action in the last half of the film is relentless and exciting, and Russell's portrayal of the old warrior as he warms to human emotions relies more on expression than words-in fact, he barely utters half-dozen lines. --Tod Nelson, Amazon.com
Brian The Brain: A spaceship approaching the Moon identifies itself as one of the four 'Swift' ships that left Earth in 1996 and disappeared. Inside there is no crew; just a lively computer named Brian the Brain. Once aboard it kidnaps Helena and Koenig. New Adam New Eve: A man appears claiming to be God and selects two couple to begin a new Earth. The couples (Helena with Tony Verdeschi and Koenig with Maya) are mismatched but using his powers 'God' makes it seem alright. However it is discovered that God is not God but instead Magus a cosmic magician. The AB Chrysalis: After regular bombardments by enormous electrical waves one more such wave could spell final destruction for Moonbase Alpha. Koenig visits the source of the bombardments a nearby planet and discovers a civilisation where people are in a chrysalis stage protected only by their computer which sees Moonbase as a threat to them and is therefore attacking it. Catacombs of the Moon: In the Catacombs of the Moon engineer Patrick Osgood is searching for titanium to save his wife's life in heart surgery and because it is vital to the Moonbase Alpha's life support system. Osgood fails to find any metal and takes his wife into the catacombs only to go missing. Koenig decides to release some titanium from the store but now must find the Osgoods.
Answering the plea of Ambassador Timus Irnok Mosta of the Galactic Federation (a close clone brother of Tim) the Tomorrow People set off for the first time to an alien planet - 'Pyrie'. Once there they need to free the Pyrie telepaths (known as the 'Vesh') from the grossly unpleasant man-eating ruling Khultan (the builders of Earth's pyramids).
