This DVD features a rare live 1965 London concert of the Bill Evans Trio. The concert was recorded as a single performance to be broadcast as two shows in the BBC Jazz On 625 television series presented by Humphrey Lyttelton. The repertoire is a mixture of Evans originals American songbook titles and modern material including the Newley-Bricusse Who Can I Turn To? and Miles Davis' beautiful Nardis - a tune he himself curiously never recorded. Evans has still barely recovered from the tragic death of bassist Scott LaFaro in 1961 and had waited a year to form a new trio with Chuck Israels on bass and Paul Motian on drums who by this time had been replaced by Larry Bunker. Tracklist: 1. Five 2. How My Heart Sings 3. Nardis 4. Who Can I Turn To 5. Someday My Prince Will Come 6. How Deep Is The Ocean 7. Waltz For Debby 8. Five 9. Five 10. Elsa 11. Summertime 12. Blood And Chocolate (Dir.
