Although hailing from Detroit The Spinners enjoyed their biggest hits as purveyors of some of the finest Philadelphia soul music ever heard. Working with Thom Bell between 1972 and 1976 they assumed the mantle previously occupied by The Stylistics and took such recordings as 'The Rubberband Man' 'Could It Be I'm Falling In Love' and 'I'll Be Around' to the upper echelons of the chart.
