Gene Barry stars in this 1960s TV series as Amos Burke a millionaire chief of detectives in Los Angeles. This eight DVD collection features series one of the show in which Burke solves crimes - mainly murders - travelling around LA in a chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce. Burke's Law presented a new twist on cop shows of the era mixing glamorous settings with sophisticated plots. Among the many guest stars featured in this first series were William Shatner (Star Trek Boston Legal) Frank Sinatra John Cassavetes Jayne Mansfield Telly Savalas Elizabeth Montgomery (Bewitched) and John Saxon. A mysterious very old solicitor Mr. Blunden (Naismith) visits Mrs. Allen and her young children in her squalid Camden Town flat and makes her an offer she cannot refuse.
