Escape To The Ponderosa: Adam is ambushed by a group of escaped convicts and Ben Cartwright links with Army Captain Bolton in tracking the group down. The Avenger: Adam and Ben are to be hanged for murder unless Joe and Hoss can find some way of proving their innocence. A young man called Lassiter joins their crusade.
The Courtship: Joe and Hoss visit the widow of Ben's friend Josh Layton. Hoss falls in love with Helen Layton and brings her back to Ponderosa intent on marriage but Adam begins to question her motives. The Spitfire: Joe shoots an arsonist in self defence and then finds himself responsible for looking after the man's daughter. It is not long before the man's relatives begin looking for him and revenge.
The Last Trophy: Lord Marion Dunsford and his wife Lady Beatrice visit Ben at the Ponderosa. Lady Beatrice takes an instant shine to Adam someone she considers more of a man than her husband. Bitter Water: Miner Lem Keith wants to buy land next to the Ponderosa even though he knows the rightful owner won't sell. Causing a stir by infecting the Cartwright's herd with ticks might help him achieve his aim.
Blood On The Land: An unwelcome sheep herder becomes something of a squatter on the Ponderosa and resists all attempts to get him to move on. He takes Adam prisoner and will only agree to release him in return for ownership of the ranch. Desert Justice: Ranch hand Dave Walker is accused of murdering the wife of Marshall Dowd. When it is learnt that Dave was badly beaten whilst in jail the Cartwrights decide to accompany him to his trial in Los Angeles.
The Ape: Hoss befriends Arnie with the pair sharing size in common. But Arnie is a slow learner and has never quite mastered controlling his temper. Blood Line: Ben Cartwright is forced to kill old adversary Luke Grayson and must then face his son Todd who hurries home from the East to try and learn the truth.
