A collection of three comedy shorts starring some of Britains brightest comedy stars. Titles Comprise: Ant Muzak: Even cult Eighties popstars need to shop... Nick Moran (LOCK STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS) and Mackenzie Crook (THE OFFICE) star in this documentary-style comedy about New Romantic punks Adam & The Ants making an eventful late-night trip to their local 24-hour supermarket. Cruising the aisles like some kind of bizarre family-unit the flamboyantly dressed band-members are thrown into crisis when one of their 2 drummers suddenly goes missing. Directed by Ben Gregor and written by Tim Plester 'ANT MUZAK' is a charmingly off-kilter tale of tinned vegetables consumer culture and the fickle nature of fame. Shot over a single weekend on borrowed Super 16mm equipment 'ANT MUZAK' also features a tantalising cameo appearance from former Adam & The Ants bass-player Gary Tibbs. Blake's Junction 7: Imagine the kind of twilight world in which the characters from a bygone British-made space-opera might find themselves making a much-needed pit stop at a Motorway Service Station at 2:45am on a non-descript Tuesday morning... BLAKE'S JUNCTION 7 is a totally unofficial but affectionate 15-minute comedy inspired by the BBC's cult classic sci-fi series BLAKE'S 7. A sequel-of-sorts to Ben Gregor and Tim Plester's first short film 'ANT MUZAK' (Audience Award winner 2003 Sydney Film Festival) it stars Mark Heap (GREEN WING) Martin Freeman (THE OFFICE) and Johnny Vegas (IDEAL). It also features all-new recordings from original BLAKE'S 7 cast-member Peter Tuddenham as the voice of Orac the super super-computer and promises a one-off opportunity to see Mackenzie Crook (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN) in drag as our heroes' nemesis Supreme Commander Servalan. World Of Wrestling: While most of us sleep the heroes and villains from the Golden Age of British wrestling must grapple against the odds to make it home safely from a night out on the tiles. Set predominantly onboard an iconic red double-decker bus this is a journey into a colourfully skewed world of oversized men ill-fitting leotards Boston-Crabs Half-Nelsons and the unforgiving whims of the British public transport system. The film's all-star cast includes introducing in the red corner; Mackenzie Crook (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN) Kris Marshall (MY FAMILY) Patrick Baladi (THE OFFICE) Kevin Eldon (BIG TRAIN) and Miranda Hart (HYPERDRIVE). All aboard and seconds away... WORLD OF WRESTLING is the third and final part of Tim Plester and Ben Gregor's critically-acclaimed loose trilogy of short comedy films - following the award-winning success of both 'ANT MUZAK' and BLAKE'S JUNCTION 7 which have both been screened at film festivals worldwide including Edinburgh London Raindance Sydney Toronto Worldwide Montreal Prends Ca Court Foyle Uppsala Cardiff Leeds Manchester Commonwealth Cinequest and Slamdance.

Based on the novel by Peter Hedges (who adapted his own book) and directed by Lasse Hallström, What's Eating Gilbert Grape is the funny, moody tale of young Gilbert (Johnny Depp), who lives at home in a small town with his 500-pound Momma (beautifully played by non-professional Darlene Cates), his mentally retarded younger brother Arnie (Leonardo DiCaprio, utterly convincing), and his sisters. Not a lot happens--Arnie keeps climbing a water tower and getting stuck; Gilbert is involved with a married woman (Mary Steenburgen), then meets a nice new girl in town who's closer to his age (Juliette Lewis). And that's exactly what makes this movie so much more than your run-of-the-mill Hollywood product: it's not about some mechanical, formulaic plot; it's about these characters, and it allows you to spend some time with them and get to know them. Depp proved yet again that he's one of the most interesting, unpredictable, and risk-taking actors in American movies; while a pre-Titanic DiCaprio deservedly received an Oscar nomination. --Jim Emerson

The idea behind 'Orrible is easy to appreciate, even if the programme itself often wasn't. Take Johnny Vaughan--a supremely talented and likable broadcaster, one of very few ubiquitous television presences whose appearance does not drive the intelligent viewer to grim fantasies of revenge involving a baseball bat and a dark ally--and cast him as the lead in a sitcom. It was, at best, a partial success. The problem with 'Orrible is that Vaughan's forte is improvisation and association, not adhering to a script, not even one he cowrote. His character, a dimwitted, shell-suited West London minicab driver with Walter Mitty-ish fantasies of being an underworld player, has possibilities. But the potential is never fully realised, partly due to surprisingly leaden lines, but mostly due to Vaughan's limitations as an actor: he never quite manages to project anything other than a less-funny version of the screen persona audiences know and like. On the DVD: 'Orrible on disc has an episode selector, and a scene selector for each episode. Subtitles are available in English. There is also the option of listening to a running commentary by writers Ed Allen and Johnny Vaughan which, as it is isn't scripted, occasionally offers glimpses of the unrestrained, free-flowing Johnny Vaughan familiar from his other television work--as such, it's far funnier than anything in the actual programme. --Andrew Mueller
Jackass is very probably the most perfectly named programme in the history of television. The cult MTV hit is the sort of exceedingly stupid thing that can only be the work of clever people, in this case, a collection of old-enough-to-know-better delinquents who appear to have taken the wisdom about the dumbing-down of popular culture as a challenge. The difference between Jackass and most dumb things on television is that other dumb things on television like to pretend that they're arch, or clever, or at the very least camp. Jackass makes no such pretensions and for this reason it is incredibly liberating and funny. There is no subtext to any of this. Johnny Knoxville and company think of something supremely idiotic to do and do it. We see them riding down hills on ice blocks, inviting a fire crew to turn their hoses on them and trying to ride bicycles around a 360-degree wooden loop while dressed as chickens. That only one cast member ends up hospitalised is little short of miraculous. --Andrew Mueller

Joey Gazelle is a mob flunkie who disposes "hot" guns, but when one is stolen he finds himself in big trouble.
Set against the Notting Hill race riots of the late 1950's The Wind Of Change is a gripping kitchen-sink drama focusing on the relationship between a father (Donald Pleasence) a world-weary yet liberal man who spends all his spare time looking after his rabbits and his rebellious unemployed son Frank (Johnny Briggs). Frank is bigoted racist who believes the black immigrants are taking all the British jobs though he doesn't seem too concerned in trying to get one himself. When Frank and his gang of teddy boys beat up a black man who later dies of his injuries he must face the consequence of his actions...
There's plenty of guns and a few explosions as bodies fly through the air and crash into tables and fruit stands. Once Upon a Time in Mexico, like all Robert Rodriguez movies, is all about the kinetic kick of high-velocity action. Johnny Depp, blasé and whimsical, plays a CIA agent who's drawn guitar-playing gun-slinger Antonio Banderas (long black hair flopping over his face like the ears of a Labrador puppy) into a ridiculously convoluted plot to overthrow the Mexican government. Along for the ride are a craggy-faced rogue's gallery including Willem Dafoe, Mickey Rourke, Danny Trejo, Ruben Blades, and (to balance things out) the smooth, tantalising complexions of Eva Mendes and Salma Hayek. For sheer trashy fun, Once Upon a Time in Mexico is a step down from its predecessor, but Desperado set the bar pretty high. For coherent storytelling, look elsewhere, but for action razzle-dazzle, this is your movie. Rodriguez's complete trilogy--El Mariachi, Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico--can also be found in one DVD box set--Bret Fetzer
Tony Jaa returns in this action-packed adventure which sees him heading to Australia to rescue his two beloved elephants.
