John Harrison directs this British horror based on two short stories by Clive Barker: 'The Book of Blood' and 'On Jerusalem Street'. Jonas Armstrong stars as Simon McNeal a college student known for his psychic powers who is employed by paranormal researcher Mary Florescu (Sophie Ward) to investigate a haunted house where a gruesome murder has taken place. As the pair uncover the house's dark and shocking secret the divide between the living and the dead becomes dangerously blurred - with brutal and bloody consequences.
Annika and her 17-year-old daughter Saga have moved to a small town in Lapland for Annika's new job in the local hospital and to start afresh. At first life in the permanent night of the polar winter is just as boring as Saga predicted it would be. However things soon start to change when Saga makes a new friend at her school the black haired goth known as Vega who acts as if she has known Saga for years. But the town is harbouring a dark secret. Something is hunting in the middle of the night. With a sense of impending dread it soon becomes clear that as the world around you disappears and you don't know who you can trust the last thing you want to hear is that there is more than a month until dawn. A script sent to the director Anders Banke initially inspired Sweden's first vampire movie. He knew he could put together a film set in a land where there is darkness around the clock and secondly that 'white snow is a very good background for red blood'. Lastly there were some scenes that were so funny they made him laugh out loud. Coupled with his strong interest in history myth and legend cultivated by Bram Stoker and Hammer Horror Films he created

The Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds live concert was a sold-out sensation everywhere it played, and this concert DVD is the next best thing to being there for all the fans that couldn't attend the concert in person. The movie opens with Miley Cyrus backstage in make-up and hair, warming up with vocal exercises, then cuts to Hannah Montana (her alter ego)'s performance of Rock Star, and then back in time to four weeks before her performance when concert rehearsals were just beginning. It runs like a backstage special feature for a while, following Hannah Montana through coaching, choreography scenes with Kenny Ortega, and rehearsal sessions. Then it's back to concert footage from opening night in St. Louis and all along the tour, seasoned here and there with some fun looks at the concerts' special effects, quick costume changes, other logistical challenges (Hannah gets dropped during a routine early in the tour), and lots of shots of the enthusiastic, mostly female, 'tween audiences. The sound is adequate, but fails to replicate the live concert experience (the plus side is that your ears won't be ringing for hours after the performance). Hannah Montana's performance includes Rock Star, Life's What You Make It, Just Like You, Nobody's Perfect, and We Got the Party. The Jonas Brothers perform When You Look Me In the Eyes and Year 3000, and then Miley hits the stage with Start All Over, I Got Nerve, I Miss You (which Miley wrote for her Granddad), Going Away, GNO: Girl's Night Out, and The Best of Both Worlds. This concert presentation truly is the "best of both worlds", with easy availability and minimal expense. Better yet is the message that girls can do anything they want if they put their minds and hearts to it. (Ages 7 and older) --Tami Horiuchi

The killing of John Lennon is a chilling insight into the mind of Mark David Chapman, the 25 year old narcissist who gunned down John Lennon outside his Dakota apartment in New York in 1980.Meticulously researched and filmed on actual locations where events occurred, it is a gritty and imagistic examination of a celebrity stalker's mind leading up tot he kill a look into his descent into madness and exorcism. Independently financed and filmed over three years, The killing of John Lennon is unflinching in its presentation of the truth. It does not set out to condone the shooting of Lennon or his killer's desire for fame.
