The Last Samurai: On the pretence of a business trip Japanese multi-millionaire Yasujiro Endo journeys to the African nation of Imtazi. Bloody Fists is definitely one of the most violent and dark films from the early '70's Japanese vs.Chinesesub-genre. This was Ng See-Yuens first directorial effort and Yuen Wo Ping's second action directorial credit goes unnoticed as his latter trademarks including humor dynamic choreography and fluid wirework would not begin to surface until later in his career. A non-stop chuckle out of the surgical tubing that miraculously becomes a defensive kung fu style! Two bungling conmen are mistaken for expert martial artists hired to protect a town from a gang. Successful director Lau Kar Leung's (Liu Chia Liang) films usually had a strong traditional emphasis on martial virtue and the importance of family. This is very evident in his kung fu comedy My Young Auntie which stars Kara Hui Ying Hung as a yougn heiress to an esteemed kung fu family embroiled in internal strife. Her gutsy and dauntless performance opposite Lau's starring role as her calm to psychotic elderly nephew-by-marriage earned Hui the Best Actress Award at the 1982 Hong Kong Film Awards.
