Perfect: Where love is a dance and beauty is everything... John Travolta is a writer for Rolling Stone; Jamie lee Curtis is a beautiful aerobics instuctor. When he investigates health clubs as the singles bar of the '80's sparks fly and a sizzling romance heats up. The Breakfast Club: Without doubt John Hughes' The Breakfast Club is one of the greatest teen movies of all-time if not the best. Without it we might not have witnessed the phenomenal rise of the 'brat pack'; the group of actors synonymous with the teen films of the '80s. They were five teenage students with nothing in common faced with spending a Saturday detention together in their High School library. At 7am they had nothing to say but by 4pm they had bared their souls to each other and become good friends. To the outside world they were simply the Jock the Brain the Criminal the Princess and the Kook but to each other they would always be the Breakfast Club. The film's title comes from the nickname invented by students and staff for detention at the school attended by the son of one of John Hughes' friends. Thus those who were sent to detention were designated members of ""The Breakfast Club"". Bird On A Wire: Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn star in this action-packed comedy directed by John Badham about two old flames who meet by accident and are plunged into a cross-country run for their lives.

Double Feature Disaster in the Atlantic On April 14 1912 the greatest ship of the time and man's monument to the technological achievement the Royal Mail Steamer Titanic would sail into the lexicon of history. At 11:46 p.m. aboard ship the lookout signaled to the bridge and reported an iceberg right ahead. Within moments the Titanic struck ice and foundered in just over 2 hours. 2 223 souls were aboard. Only 706 would survive. Countless lives would be forever changed by the disaster. Indeed the trajedy touched the hearts of people around the world. No other historical event would inspire as many literary and cinematic treatments on the subject. This historical presentation was produced in 1929 and is the first feature sound film of the disaster. The Titanic Chronicles The Titanic Chronicles was an attempt to understand what happened to the Titanic the American government held a series of hearings to investigate the disaster. These hearings were filled with eyewitness accounts that detailed every minute of that terrifying night and they represented several different points of view. The U.S. Senate hearings were opened to the public and they were held in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The hearings were chaired by Senator William Alden Smith of Michigan. Senator Smith's mission was simple: find out what had gone wrong and to discover the truth. This program is a reenactment of the most striking and revealing moments from the actual hearings. The testimony you will hear comes the closest to the truth as to why the R.M.S. Titanic now lies on the bottom of the North Atlantic.

If only the designers builders and owners hadn't bought into the untimely fatal myth of her being unsinkable...If only the chairman of the White Star Line hadn't declined in a fit of corporate hubris to try to chop a day off the trans-Atlantic crossing record by ordering the Titanic's speed increased to a dangerous 22-plus knots even though icebergs were a well-known menace...If only the Titanic had been adequately supplied with lifeboats. There were in fact places for only 1 200 people although 2 228 passengers and crew were aboard the glittering palace for her maiden - and final - voyage. What makes the Titanic saga so compelling of course are the private stories of those who embarked on the fateful crossing many of whom we meet in this gripping drama.
