  Kathy is an outcast at an elite New England boarding school whom lands in a coma resulting from accidentally being hit by a car during a cruel practical joke against her by several car loads of her tormentors. A little later Eva a new arrival to the school takes over Kathy's old room and begins socializing with some of the girls responsible for Kathy's condition. It turns out that Eva is a pawn under the control of the comatose Kathy from her hospital bed in seeing revenge against those whom did her wrong while Kathy's physician meets and begins dating Eva whom also targets his latest girlfriend.

Meanwhile the aliens are planning to manipulate three Alphans into blowing up the Moon's nuclear waste dumps to create energy. It is soon left to Maya Helena and Koenig to defeat the aliens. The Lambda Factor: A pretty young Alpha technician dies a horrible death. Maya discovers that a huge gaseous cloud is giving off Lambda waves which could give some people paranormal powers. Carolyn takes over the Commander Centre and Moonbase. Koenig must fight a mental battle against her to decide the future of Moonbase. The Seance Spectre: The planet Tora is sighted but is on a collision course with the Moon. A small group of angered Alphans use their laser guns to take over the Command Center made off-limits by Koenig. They hold a seance and claim Tora would be habitable. Koenig regains control but is faced with the ever-impending crash with Tora and the rebel opposition which could jeopardise things further.

The Rules of Luton: Temporarily left on Luton a planet with lush vegetation Koenig and Maya explore. But when Koenig eats some flowers and Maya smells some flowers a thunderous voice booms out accusing them of murder. Their damage to the planet is unforgivable and they must face the consequences. The Mark of Archanon: A metallic cabinet long buried beneath the surface of the moon is recovered. Inside are Pasc and his son Etrec from the planet Archanon. Pasc was part of a team sent on a mission of goodwill but the hatred and violence on Earth was contagious. Pasc uses his new lease of life to make up for past misdeeds.

  A great little package that features both a DVD and a bonus CD with music from the film! The DVD includes the 1957 James Dean Story - a documentary on the career of Dean directed by a young Robert Altman and featuring clips from films interviews with family and friends and other archival footage from Dean's life. The CD features the original score composed by Leith Stevens arranged by Bill Holman and Johnny Mandel - and one of the nicest big band dates to come out of the Pacific Jazz catalog of the 1950s! Chet Baker and Bud Shank are the featured soloists of the set - and the group's conducted by Johnny Mandel and Bill Holman both excellent arrangers with a strong feel for soundtrack-oriented material of this sort. Chet sings vocals on a version of 'Let Me be Loved' which is the only standard on the set = as the rest of the tracks are originals by the great Leith Stevens.

  Treasure Planet, a pet project of Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Hercules codirectors Ron Clements and John Musker, is an ambitious animation hybrid (traditional animation combined with elaborate CGI backgrounds). It was the subject of numerous in-studio battles, but Disney office politics and a poor public reception shouldn't distract one from its many admirable qualities, not the least being its overall fidelity to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel Treasure Island. Curiously revamped as a sci-fi adventure with space-faring galleons, flintlock ray guns and extreme-sports attitude, it caters to a young audience for whom Stevenson's adventure is an undiscovered treasure, revving up the material with arcade-game excitements. It's entertaining, for what it is, and kids will surely enjoy it. Maybe next time, however, Disney will follow its own legacy and properly adapt Stevenson (as they did with their 1950 live-action classic) for a new, and hopefully receptive, generation. --Jeff Shannon
