Leatherface had his chainsaws, Freddie has his glove... now there's a new slasher icon, and he's got a hook. In I Know What You Did Last Summer a group of kids pay the price for not reporting a hit and run a year later when their victim comes back for revenge, apparently from beyond the grave, and he doesn't finish with them then, chasing down the survivors for more slicing and dicing in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. And if that wasn't enough, he finds all new targets for more hook-heavy payback in I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer. From the creators of Scream and starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., 88 Films are proud to present these three modern slasher classics for the first time on UK blu-ray, completely uncut.
Written by and starring the cast of Horrible Histories, Yonderland is a wonderful and weird comedy for adults and kids alike. Yonderland follows 33-year old mum Debbie Maddox (Martha Howe-Douglas) who is bored of being an unappreciated stay-at-home mum. Little does she know this is all about to change when she unexpectedly finds herself on a quest through Yonderland, with only an Elf by her side. This extraordinary world is only accessible via her kitchen cupboard that is inhabited by a collection of eccentric (and usually idiotic) characters, some of whom happen to be puppets. Through Debbie's eyes, we're exported to a strange but spectacular getaway packed full of mayhem, Monty Python-esque silliness and humour that will have mum and dad in stiches too, guaranteeing giggles for the whole family. In Series Two, Debbie, The Chosen One is thrown back into the fantastical world of Yonderland, constantly called upon by the Council of Elders to overcome their latest challenge. But bigger issues are at stake now that Debbie's nemesis Imperatrix has determined to capture her, fulfil the prophecy and destroy Yonderland. Meanwhile Debbie's husband Peter starts to fixate on the strange goings on in the kitchen cupboard as he becomes increasingly suspicious about her absences from home.
Arguably the best series, this season's episodes really developed the characters as the show's popularity took off. Love is in the air as Rachel and Ross, both finally realising they're attracted to each other, nearly get it together, don't, and then finally do. Joey gets that role as Dr Drake Ramoray in Days of Our Lives and moves out of the flat he shares with Chandler, precipitating a bust-up between the two best buddies. Monica dates Richard, the hunky, older eye-doctor played by Tom Selleck, and Phoebe makes a video of that seminal song for a generation, "SmellyCat". --Leslie Felperin

Like a soda pop left open all night, Ferris Bueller's Day Off seems to have lost its effervescence over time. Sure, Matthew Broderick is still appealing as the perennial truant, Ferris, who takes one memorable day off from school. Jeffrey Jones is nasty and scheming as the principal who's out to catch him. Jennifer Grey is winning as Ferris' sister (who ends up making out in the police station with a prophetic vision of Charlie Sheen). But there's a definite sense that this film was of a particular time frame: the 80s. It's still fun, though. There's Ferris singing "Twist and Shout" during a Chicago parade, and a lovely sequence in the Art Institute. But don't get it and expect your kids to love it the way you did. Like it or not, it's yours alone. --Keith Simanton, Amazon.com
Based on a true story that shocked a nation, this powerful four-part factual drama, from BAFTA winning writer and executive producer Jeff Pope (Appropriate Adult, The Widower), centres on the devastating impact on a city of an innocent child's murder amid a wave of gang violence. In August 2007, while walking home from football practice in his England kit, 11-year-old Rhys Jones was unwittingly caught in the crossfire of a gang war. Shot in the neck outside the Fir Tree pub in Liverpool's Croxteth, he died in his mother's arms. Made with the support of Rhys's parents, Melanie and Steve, Little Boy Blue explores their ordeal and looks at the agonising dilemmas of witnesses faced with becoming pariahs for speaking up. It tells the story of the long and extensive investigation, led by Merseyside Police SIO David Kelly, that eventually brought Rhys's murderer and his associates to justice.

Based on the acclaimed, 'unfilmable' novel by William Wharton, about a boy who dreams of flying, Alan Parker's elliptical, ethereal film is just as vividly poetic as its source. Birdy is story of two unlikely boyhood friends, the confident and popular Al (Nicolas Cage Wild at Heart, Leaving Las Vegas) and Birdy (Matthew Modine - Full Metal Jacket, Stranger Things), awkward, withdrawn, and obsessed with birds. The advent of the war in Vietnam shatters their youth, and they both return irrevocably changed - one physically traumatised, the other emotionally fractured. This unique and affecting film from director Alan Parker (Midnight Express, Angel Heart), features skilful, highly committed central performances from young stars Modine and Cage (who allegedly had teeth removed for his gruelling role), and a wonderful score by Peter Gabriel. Birdy is a great unsung gem of 1980s cinema, and is presented here in a brand-new, director-approved 2K restoration.
