Along with 'the babbies' Wyatt (6) Mariah (5) and toddler Cher the family also share their small council house with Della's feckless acid casualty dad Grampy a frequent refugee from his ongoing bad romance with 'Sh*t Nan'. In her frenzied pursuit of Lee Germaine drags her family reluctantly out into the world going underage clubbing dabbling in voyeurism taking the law into their own hands and dealing with major life milestones in their characteristic highly inappropriate way. Hormones are well and truly raging in series two of Channel 4's Raised by Wolves. As the witty Wolverhampton teens Germaine and Aretha based on the show's co-writers Caitlin and Caz Moran delve deeper into adolescence, the comedy gets even better. And filthier. Germaine (Helen Monks) is obsessed with two things: Google and sex. When her mum Della (the brilliant Rebekah Staton) switches off the WiFi, fed up with the cost of the internet, Germaine protests that she absolutely definitely needs YouTube to watch TED talks. Looking through her internet history, Della doesn't find any searches for 'inspiring lectures'. Instead it's 'Tom Hardy topless', 'Tom Hardy top on', 'Benedict Cumberbatch hatless' and 'Benedict Cumberbatch hat on'. Phwoar.

  It may not exactly be a disaster movie, but this terminally silly thriller is certainly disastrous, and would be pointless without the novelty of its setting in a flooding Midwestern town during a torrential rainfall. Physically impressive but idiotic in every other respect, the movie pits an armoured truck courier (Christian Slater) against a smart leader of thieves (Morgan Freeman) and a corruptible town sheriff (Randy Quaid) who are vying for possession of $3 million in cash. A waterlogged game of cat and mouse, the plot is so contrived that even the most impressive action sequences--such as a jet-ski chase through flooded high-school corridors--are robbed of their already tenuous credibility. Before long you'll be yawning as incompetent accomplices are systematically dispatched by their own stupidity, in the kind of movie where the use of power boats inevitably leads to at least one death by outboard motor. What's impressive here is the physical production itself--the effect of flooding was created by building a huge replica of downtown Huntington, Indiana, in a huge, watertight aircraft hangar in Palmdale, California! --Jeff Shannon, Amazon.com
