Based on Peter Barnes' hit play this caustic hilarious and irreverent black comedy has rightly become a cult classic. The House of Gurney has a family problem - namely the 14th Earl of Gurney (Peter O' Toole) who thinks he is Jesus Christ and when restored to 'normalcy' turns into Jack the Ripper. Unfortunately the young earl is also the sole heir to the family fortune so his relatives go to great lengths to trick him into siring a new heir. Then they can institutionalise him and gain access to the money through the child. But the 14th Earl of Gurney has a few tricks up his sleeve... This controversial tragicomedy managed to condemn just about every section of British society - from the public school system to the Houses of Parliament and from the Church to homosexuality. It also boasts some truly inspirational performances including O'Toole (who received an Oscar nomination for his tour de force role) Alastair Sim as a feeble-minded bishop and Arthur Lowe as a hilariously insolent left wing manservant.

The search for a kidnapped child - the quest for redemption by a lowlife drug dealer. Set in the dark belly of Los Angeles' criminal underworld ARC is the story of Paris Pritchert (Peter Facinelli The Twilight Saga) a former police officer turned drug dealer and addict who embarks on a quest to find a missing child in the hope of redeeming his eroding character. Like all addicts Paris' confidence is completely dependent on the drugs in his system and in this case his firm belief that he can succeed if he can just stay both high and alive long enough to see it through. Paris enlists the help of Maya Gibbs (Raina-Simone Moore The Prospects) an African American prostitute well versed in the language of the street and the words of Maya Angelou and Nadine Gordimer. The path of this dysfunctional and unlikely duo crosses with those of the child's parents a doctor with a penchant for soliciting street boys (Garett M Brown Kick-Ass) a self ascribed King of Porn (Alex Sol Black Water Transit) and a hardened cop with more scams than the most adept street hustler. Told through a variety of visual techniques and colour schemes ARC unfolds as Paris' search leads to places he never expected. It is a search filled with the grimness of an addict's life the shadiness of perverse characters and the budding friendship of two people with nothing to lose and everything to gain.
