! The Exorcist The story, both nightmarish and realistic, features an innocent young girl who is possessed by a terrifying entity, her mother who desperately wants to save her, as well as two priests - one who is rather sceptical and the other resolutely devout - who join in the fight against the ultimate evil, leaving viewers breathless. The greatest horror thriller of all time surprises and shocks viewers like no other film in its genre. Friday the 13th Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake. Its history is bloody, and its inhabitants say that it's cursed. It's the perfect place for a psychopath to start killing the camp counsellors. Director and producer Sean S. Cunningham's original slasher movie has spawned a phenomenal franchise and hundreds of imitators. With a charming cast (including young Kevin Bacon) and the creative use of sharp instruments by a stalker with an overprotective mother, this classic shock movie continues to thrill, inspire, and terrify audiences. Stephen King's IT (1990) In October 1957, IT wakes up and the small town of Derry, Maine will never be the same again. Stephen King brings all our childhood fears and phobias to light as seven children face unimaginable horrors that come in many guises, including Pennywise (Tim Curry), a living clown, who hunts and kills in the city's sewers. Years later, the surviving adults are brave enough to return to Derry to stop the killing, this time for good. A Nightmare On Elms Street Nancy, Kris, Quentin, Jesse, and Dean live on Elm Street, in the heart of a residential suburb similar to thousands of others - peaceful, clean, and uneventful... But for some time now, these five young people have been haunted every night by the same oppressive nightmare - a man with a hollow voice emerges from the darkness. Dressed in a torn red and green shirt, he hides his horribly burned and disfigured face under an old hat. Carrie (1976) Carrie (SISSY SPACEK, Badlands, JFK ) is a tortured teenager, ill-at-ease and totally unaware of her telekinetic power. When her psychotic mother and her sadistic classmates go overboard, she unleashes the most terrible vengeance, and unleashes hell around her in a whirlwind of fi re and blood. The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle suffers from a problem common among live-action movies that are based on beloved cartoon characters--the humans are never as flexible, unpredictable, or just plain goofy as their animated counterparts. In this blend of animation and live action, Rocky and Bullwinkle remain animated characters (trapped in our reality), while Boris and Natasha (Jason Alexander and Rene Russo), along with their boss, Fearless Leader (Robert De Niro), are transformed from cartoons to human reproductions when they escape from rerun land. They've come to our world to take it over; the FBI springs Rocky and Bullwinkle from the second dimension to stop them. But the writing in Kenneth Lonergan's script lacks the throw-away flair of the jokes that characterised Jay Ward's much-beloved animated series of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Part of the problem is that Russo, Alexander and De Niro are so obviously working at acting cartoonish, instead of simply being cartoons. And part is that the script rarely comes up with the kind of wonderful wordplay in which Ward specialised. The moose, as usual, gets all the best lines, but they're too few and far between to salvage this underachieving summer film. --Marshall Fine, Amazon.com

To her parents she's Hannah the legal secretary. Hannah has a responsible job that involves working lots of unsocial hours in the evening. Hannah has her own set of clothes and her own friends. Even her closest pal has no idea about her working life. To her clients Belle is whatever they want her to be. She can be the quiet girl-next-door. Or she can be the high-heeled dominatrix who whips them into submission. Her mission is to make money by satisfying male fantasies. As she tells us in the first episode: ""Work out what the client wants as fast as you can and give it to him."" Belle also has strict rules. The most important being that she never becomes emotionally involved. That's before she meets a handsome young single man. On their first meeting Belle looks stunning but it is a complete disaster. He tells her madam (Cherie Lunghi) that next time he'd like a girl just au naturel. Belle was too overpowering. But crafty Belle's professional pride is hurt. She elbows out another call girl and ensures they have a second date. This time everything goes wonderfully and in an unguarded moment she lets slip her real name. Hannah. And the client wants Hannah. Not Belle. And the most important lesson she's learnt: to do this job and keep sane she has to keep Belle and Hannah separate. Follow Belle's further adventures in the eight-part series.
