Aziz Sejawal who had earlier made films like Baap Numberi Beta Dus Numberi Adharam Andolan Shatranj Hero Hindustani and Chhupa Rustom is the director of the film. Chalo Ishq Ladaayen tells the story of Pappu (Govinda) and his loving relationship with his grandmother (Zora Sehgal) who slaps him at a drop of a hat. For her Pappu is still a child at heart even though he may have grown up physically and become matured mentally. Pappu falls for Sapna (Rani Mukherjee). Will she be able to comprehend Pappu's relationship with his grandmother. Co-starring Sanjay Suri Mink and kader Khan the film has music by Himesh Reshammiya.
