A teacher has been murdered at Bluecliff Seminary, an exclusive school for girls on the California coast. The Falcon is called in to investigate by one of the schoolgirls and it's not long before he's surrounded by beautiful young women - and potential murder suspects.Could it be the psychology professor who was the victim's room-mate (George Givot), or the over bearing headmistress (Barbara Brown) who is desperate to avoid scandal? The cold and distant drama teacher (Jean Brooks) is certainly suspicious - as is the mousy music teacher (Isabel Jewell) found stealing the victim's intimate poems.Strangest of all, the teacher's death had been predicted by Marguerita (Rita Corday), one of the schoolgirls - and now Marguerita is predicting another death.
The Falcon and his friend Goldie Locke check into what appears to be a silk-smuggling racket in San Francisco.
