  Family Ties was a hugely successful American family sitcom which ran from 1982 to 1989. The series starred Michael J. Fox Meredith Baxter-Birney and Michael Grossas. Loving parents Steven (Michael Gross) and Elyse Keaton (Meredith Baxter Birney) raise their children with open hearts and open minds.
