In the Men's Final Roger Federer secured a record-breaking fifteenth Grand Slam singles title defeating the American Andy Roddick who had beaten Andy Murray in the Semi Finals. In the record books Federer has now surpassed Pete Sampras who was present on the Centre Court for the final.
