  A fast-paced sketch show performed by an energetic young team with much potential. The sketches were dark and zany the preferred style of the times and covered traditional themes (James Bond spoofs paranoia) as well as contemporary subjects (satirising BBC satellite channels and youth programming) all to varying degrees of success. One memorable recurring sketch featured two young TV executives pitching ridiculous ideas for shows (extreme variations and hybrids of existing series) to a commissioning editor intent only on accepting productions featuring the presenter Alan Titchmarsh. Another regular spot Outdoor Wee featured celebrities who were interviewed while urinating alfresco.

  This is Marlon Brando's screen debut; he plays a paraplegic World War II veteran who sinks into depression until his former girlfriend (Teresa Wright) manages to bring him out of it. Controversial at the time for it's vivid semi-documentary style and it's no-holds barred treatment of sexual problems.

  Adaptation of the risqué play by Joe Orton. Kath (Beryl Reid) and Ed (Harry Andrews) are a lonely middle-aged brother and sister who live together. When Kath meets Mr Sloane (Peter McEnery) in a cemetery and falls for his charms, she invites him to become a lodger. Before long, Ed has fallen for Sloane's charms also and hires him to be his chauffeur, taking an unwholesome interest in Sloane's tight leather uniform. While Kath and Ed rival for Sloane's affections, their invalid father becomes increasingly convinced that he has some connection to an old unsolved murder. Trapped between the three of them, Sloane makes a shocking decision which has unexpected results.
