Willie Hutch is a soul music legend and this DVD tells the story in his own words. Filmed just before his death in 2005 Willie recalls growing up in LA and early songwriting success as a solo artist and with Northern Soul icons before his time as Producer with The Fifth Dimension and then Motown where he worked with The Jackson 5 on 'I'll Be There' 'Got To Be There' and 'Never Can Say Goodbye'. In the 70s and 80s he was a prolific recording artist at Motown. His albums included two blaxploitation soundtracks 'The Mack' and 'Foxy Brown' while his biggest Billboard hits included 'Brother's Gonna Work It Out' - one of the many classics caught live in concert on this DVD. With Willie's passing soon after the making of this project 'The Willie Hutch' story offers unique insight into one of black musics greatest all round artists with exclusive live performances.
