Spin-off movie from the successful anime series following the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a young man who has inherited powers that require him to do battle with evil spirits. Ichigo (voice of Masakazu Morita) was bequeathed his abilities as a Soul Reaper by Rukia (Fumiko Orikasa), who was too badly injured in an encounter with a spirit to go on in her role. She continues to assist Ichigo, however, and is just as puzzled by the sudden appearance of masses of unknown spirits as he is. The key to the puzzle appears to be a mysterious and powerful shinigami, Senna (Chiwa Saito). But Senna keeps her secrets close to her chest and Ichigo and Rukia will have to use all their craft and ingenuity to get to the bottom of the riddle.
