Third feature length spin-off from the successful anime series following the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a young man who has inherited powers that require him to do battle with evil spirits. Ichigo (voice of Masakazu Morita) was bequeathed his abilities as a Soul Reaper by Rukia (Fumiko Orikasa), who was too badly injured in an encounter with a spirit to go on in her role. Rukia has since become his advisor and friend, so Ichigo is deeply troubled when she is abducted by an unknown group who break into a top secret laboratory. Ichigo teams up with Kon (Mitsuaki Madono) to try and track down his lost friend, but a fearsome array of spirits with malign intentions stand in his way.
