Radley Metzger directs this late 1960s erotic drama based on the 19th-century French novel 'La Dame aux Camélias' by Alexandre Dumas fils. Despite her misgivings towards men, troubled beauty Marguerite (Danièle Gaubert) opens up her heart to the talented Armand (Nino Castelnuovo) but her promiscuous nature looks set to jeopardise his future. Armand's father interferes with their relationship which ultimately leads to a tragic outcome.
