The English-language debut of French director Kim Chapiron, this gritty drama is set in an American young offenders' institution. A trio of juvenile delinquents - 16-year-old drug dealer Davis (Shane Kippel), 15-year-old car thief Angel (Mateo Morales) and 17-year-old Butch (Adam Butcher), who is convicted of assault - are sent to the Enola Vale Correctional Centre in Montana, run by case-hardened warden Goodyear (Lawrence Bayne). There, the three find themselves trapped in a flawed and corrupt judicial system in which bullying, violence, drug-taking and abuse of privileges are commonplace.

Please note this is a region B Blu-ray and will require a region B or region free Blu-ray player in order to play. Dog Pound is a gritty prison drama about three young offenders Butch, Davis and Angel who all arrive at a tough juvenile centre together. The three have never met before but as soon as they arrive they realise that they must stick together and watch each other’s backs if they want to survive their sentences. But this won’t be easy as the prison is basically run by a large amount of the young offenders that the prison staff are too afraid to stand up to. The three also come to realise that it’s not just the other prisoners they have to worry about when they soon become the victims of degrading beatings at the hands of the guards.
