Paul Tanter directs this crime drama based on the murder of three major Essex gangland figures in 1995. When the bullet-ridden corpses of Tony Tucker (Jay Brown), Patrick Tate (Peter Barrett) and Craig Rolfe (Simon Phillips) were discovered in a Range Rover in Rettendon, a major criminal investigation was launched to find the culprits. Though the trio's one-time associates Jack Whomes (Tony Denham) and Michael Steele (Robert Cavanah) were ultimately convicted of the crime, it was primarily on the evidence provided by another ex-associate Darren Nicholls (Nick Nevern), labelled by some as a 'supergrass' and whose evidence was called into question.
