Based on the popular computer game, this latest instalment in the animated series follows the developments of the war between the magical kingdom of Lucis and the evil Niflheim Empire. As the army of Kingslaives, commanded by King Regis (voice of Sean Bean), follow their orders to fight off the Niflheim army, an ultimatum is presented to Regis from the other side stating he must relinquish control of his land outside of the city and wed his son, Prince Noctis (Ray Chase), to the former princess of Tenebrae and now prisoner of Niflheim, Lady Lunafreya (Lena Headey).
