Aleksandr Sokurov directs this documentary about the history of the Louvre. In addition to detailing the museum's lengthy construction, the film focuses on the Louvre's place throughout history including during the Renaissance and the Nazi's occupation of Paris during the Second World War while figures from throughout history walk its halls to view the treasures on show.
