Acclaimed British filmmaker Ken Loach (CATHY COME HOME, THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY) directs this heartfelt drama in which disaffected postman Eric finds his life in turmoil when he returns home after a near-fatal car crash. Unable to connect with his estranged family or come to terms with his shambolic existence, Eric seeks solace in drugs. High one evening, the football-mad postie is visited by ex-Manchester United ace Eric Cantona, with the charismatic Frencman offering the hapless Eric advice on how to overcome his problems...

Ken Loach directs this upbeat comedy set in Manchester, about a football-mad postman who receives life coaching from his idol, the enigmatic French footballing legend, Eric Cantona. On a downward spiral and facing an uncertain future, postman Eric Bishop (Steve Evets) is looking for a way out of his torment. Stealing a joint from his teenage son, he takes a drag and starts recounting his woes to a poster of the Gallic legend in his bedroom. As if by magic (or a puff of smoke!), the famously philosophical one miraculously appears, spouting forth his wisdom to his number one fan, who he then proceeds to take on a journey of blissful self-discovery.
