Moving between our world and a parallel fantasy one, the series follows Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), a 28-year-old mother who is believed to have been prophesied to break the curse cast by Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) which erased everyone's memories in the town of Storybrooke, leaving them frozen in time. The daughter of Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), Emma was sent away from the enchanted land by her parents when she was a child in an attempt to save her from the curse. In this season, Emma has fulfilled the prophecy and reunites with her mother and father. While the fairy tale characters recall their true identities, Storybrooke is exposed to magic and Emma and Snow White are transported to Fairy Tale Land. New characters are introduced to the show including Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle)'s old rival Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue), as well as Prince Phillip (Julian Morris) and Mulan (Jamie Chung) who go to save Sleeping Beauty (Sarah Bolger).
