The film is set in 79AD just before and during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. This action/drama tells the story of Milo, a slave who has now become a gladiator, who witnessed the murder of his parents 17 years previously. This terrible atrocity was carried out by Corvus, a corrupt Roman Senator.
Milo falls in love with the daughter of a rich merchant, Cassia, who has recently unwillingly become betrothed to the evil villain Corvus. As Milo's time comes to do gladiatorial battle against fellow slave Atticus, Mount Vesuvius starts to erupt amid a fiery blaze... of molten lava and he finds himself in a race against time to escape the collapsing city and save his beloved Cassia. Will they get away quickly enough to survive the total devastation that was once Pompeii?
