Ex-Manfred Mann singer Paul Jones stars in this cult political satire set in a dystopian future. Rock star Steven Shorter (Jones) is a hugely popular figure in British life. Unbeknownst to his fans, Steven, along with his music and squeaky clean image, is being controlled and manipulated by the totalitarian government in order to suppress the nation's youth and further its own aims. Content to play along with the deception until now, Steven begins to rebel when forced to adopt a more religiously patriotic profile.
