Hugh Grant stars alongside Tara Fitzgerald, Sam Neill and Elle MacPherson in this romantic comedy. Idealistic young clergyman Reverend Anthony Campion (Grant) arrives in Australia with his wife Estella (Fitzgerald) to convince bohemian artist Norman Lindsay (Neill) not to exhibit his controversial painting of a naked woman on a cross. Living with Norman and his wife Rose (Pamela Rabe) are his three models Pru, Sheela and Giddy (Kate Fischer, MacPherson and Portia De Rossi), whose relaxed attitude towards sexuality shocks the prudish young couple. However, as Estella befriends the models, she becomes aware of her own repressed sexuality, and begins to reassess her relationship with Anthony.
