That Kind of Girl (DVD + Blu-ray) Blu Ray

| Blu Ray

In 1960s London, a beautiful continental au pair finds herself wrestling with the affections of an earnest peace-protestor, a dashing young toff and a roguish older man. But fun and freedom turn to shame and despair when she finds that her naivety has put her lovers, and their partners - including the well-meaning Janet (played by Big Zapper's Linda Marlowe, in her first role) - at risk.Stylishly shot in crisp black and white, and set against a backdrop of smoky jazz clubs, 'Ban the Bomb' marches, and evocative London locations, this finely-tuned cautionary tale was... the directorial debut of Gerry O'Hara (All the Right Noises, The Brute), and is presented in a new high-definition transfer. Gerry O'Hara directs this morality tale on the dangers of promiscuous sex and 'loose women of easy virtue'. In the hip and rebellious early 1960s, Austrian girl-about-town Eva (Margaret Rose Keil) arrives in a quiet English village and quickly sets about seducing the male population. As her conquests mount, relationships tumble, and it's not long before sexually transmitted diseases are doing the rounds, resulting in much soul-searching and general angst amongst all concerned.

Please note this is a region 2 DVD and region B Blu-ray. It will require a region B Blu-ray player to play the Blu-ray and DVD or a Region 2 DVD player for the DVD.   BFI Flipside presents   THAT KIND OF GIRL (DVD Blu-ray) A film by Gerry O'Hara   THE FLIPSIDE : rescuing weird and wonderful British films from obscurity and presenting them in new high-quality editions.   In 1960s London, a beautiful au pair wrestles with the affections of three different men.
