Even as a serial killer stalks New York, top cop John Moss (Woods) is taken off the case and assigned to show the ropes to a Hollywood actor (Fox) who is researching a part for a police movie. Moss is unimpressed but the actor, who hopes to shake off his cute boy-next-door image with this role, proves very keen.
