Comedy teenage angst, cheeky irreverence, desperate disillusionment, calamitous predicaments and that's just before they have left the airport. The four 18 year old lads, Jay (James Buckley), Simon (Joe Thomas), Will (Simon Bird) and Neil (Blake Harrison) are back. They have replaced their school satchels with suitcases and are off on an exciting holiday having just finished sixth form and left school forever (Bye-bye Mr Gilbert!). They head off to Malia, Crete for their first grown up adventure with absolutely no constraints - no parents, no teachers, just themselves... and the world at their feet! If you enjoyed the TV series then this is for you. The film is fast moving and absolutely jam-packed with the boys' customary, often futile, efforts to down lots of booze and to try and make-it with the girls - any girls! Their ineptitude, clumsiness and bungling attempts at being cool land them in countless awkward situations involving vomiting, nudity, ants plus many more laddish antics. This coming-of -age comedy will induce laughter, empathy and possibly a touch of sympathy as the lads lurch awkwardly from one disaster to another. Will they succeed in their simple aims? Will they ever make the transformation from immature boys into grown men? [show more]
