In love with Katie Fox (De Putti), the girlfriend of a fellow rebel, Gypo wishes to emigrate to America but needs £10 to do so. He decides to inform on Katie's partner Francis McPhillip (Carl Harbord) - who has been hiding underground after killing a local police chief - and claim the £20 reward to secure his and Katie's future happiness. Before long however, Gypo finds himself troubled by his conscience.
