The Informers is a slick snapshot of a week in L.A 1983, told through the loosely connecting stories of a diverse set of people from the top of society (rock star, movie executive), the bottom (a doorman and ex criminal) and the plain bizarre (vampire). Connecting the interlaced strands is a group of blonde and beautiful people who sleep all day and party all night. The Informers is charged with orgiastic parties, sex, drugs and violence and tells the story of life on the edge. It's a fragmentary examination of hedonism, the meaninglessness of life and loss. Based... on the book of loosely connected stories by Brett Easton Ellis about a week in L.A. in 1983, featuring movie executives, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters in adventures laced with sex, drugs and violence.
