Classic drama directed by Laslo Benedek and starring Marlon Brando. A gang of motorcyclists led by rebellious Johnny (Brando) ride into a small California town and are chased away thanks to their unruly behaviour. They find less resistance to their troublemaking in the nearby town of Wrightsville as the town has only their rather incapable sheriff protecting them. Johnny decides to hang around in Wrightsville after taking a fancy to a waitress named Kathie (Mary Murphy), though he is less pleased to discover that she is the sheriff's daughter. Before long Johnny's gang are confronted by a despised rival gang, the townsfolk rally to oust them and the town quickly descends into chaos.
