Four interconnecting short horror stories linked by a single narrative. Dr. Diabolo (Burgess Meredith) is a fairground showman who promises revellers that he can show them potential evil in their future through an effigy of Atropos (Clytie Jessop), the female deity in Greek mythology. Five people attend the sideshow to see their fates, each learning of their horrific, inevitable endings.
