Brazilian comedy drama based on Jorge Amado's 1959 novella. Years after leaving his middle-class roots behind, popular down-and-out Quincas Wateryell (Paulo José) is found dead one morning in the slums of Bahia. After his former family have begrudgingly paid their respects to the man who left them behind, his friends from the slums arrive to lead the neighborhood in mourning. Trying to think of a fitting way to honour their friend's memory, they decide to take Quincas on one last tour of his favourite spots.
