  As much of Queens triumphant success in the mid-1970s had arrived before the seismic cultural impact of the British punk movement it was by no means clear what trajectory the bands career would take in the era that followed. Doubts were soon laid to rest though as Queen went on to develop their sound using new styles and techniques as they performed what many consider to be the greatest live shows ever staged - while continuing to contribute to one of rock musics truly great bodies of work. This was the period when Queen were at the top of their game illustrated most pertinently by the groups astonishing performance at the 1985 Live Aid concert.
