Featuring one of John Candy's earliest leading roles, Going Berserk is a laugh-out-loud comedy part slapstick, part sharp wit that'll have you howling from the first scene till the credits roll. John Bourgignon couldn't be happier. In a few weeks, the tubby limousine driver played by Emmy award-winner John Candy (Planes, Trains and Automobiles) will walk down the aisle with Nancy Reese, a bombshell blonde with ties to big money. But Nancy's father, a US congressman and presidential hopeful, can't stand the idea of his daughter getting hitched up to a lowly chauffer. While trying to impress his father-in-law to be (Pat Hingle, of Splendor in the Grass and Norma Rae), happy-go-lucky John finds himself mixed up with the wrong crowd. As his wedding day looms ever closer, the bumbling, lovable driver is confronted with blackmail, brainwash, a murder plot, a jailbreak, a religious cult of aerobics instructors the list goes on. With a little (not-so-helpful) assistance from his sleazy, film-director friend (Eugene Levy, National Lampoon's Vacation) and limo-driving sidekick (Joe Flaherty, Stripes, Happy Gilmore), John stumbles his way towards the altar, with plenty of side-splitting laughs to be had along the way.

  • Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - Ultimate Edition [Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + DVD + UV Copy] [Region Free]Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - Ultimate Edition | Blu Ray | (02/12/2013) from £47.23   |  Saving you £-12.24 (N/A%)   |  RRP £34.99

The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is the film all Harry Potter fans have waited 10 years to see, and the good news is that it's worth the hype--visually stunning, action packed, faithful to the book, and mature not just in its themes and emotion but in the acting by its cast, some of whom had spent half their lives making Harry Potter movies. Part 2 cuts right to the chase: Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) has stolen the Elder Wand, one of the three objects required to give someone power over death (a.k.a. the Deathly Hallows), with the intent to hunt and kill Harry. Meanwhile, Harry's quest to destroy the rest of the Horcruxes (each containing a bit of Voldemort's soul) leads him first to a thrilling (and hilarious--love that Polyjuice Potion!) trip to Gringotts Bank, then back to Hogwarts, where a spectacular battle pitting the young students and professors (a showcase of the British thesps who have stolen every scene of the series: Maggie Smith's McGonagall, Jim Broadbent's Slughorn, David Thewlis's Lupin) against a dark army of Dementors, ogres, and Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter, with far less crazy eyes to make this round). As predicted all throughout the saga, Harry also has his final showdown with Voldemort--neither can live while the other survives--though the physics of that predicament might need a set of crib notes to explain. But while each installment has become progressively grimmer, this finale is the most balanced between light and dark (the dark is quite dark--several familiar characters die, with one significant death particularly grisly); the humor is sprinkled in at the most welcome times, thanks to the deft adaptation by Steve Kloves (who scribed all but one of the films from J.K. Rowling's books) and direction by four-time Potter director David Yates. The climactic kiss between Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson), capping off a decade of romantic tension, is perfectly tuned to their idiosyncratic relationship, and Daniel Radcliffe has, over the last decade, certainly proven he was the right kid for the job all along. As Prof. Snape, the most perfect of casting choices in the best-cast franchise of all time, Alan Rickman breaks your heart. Only the epilogue (and the lack of chemistry between Harry and love Ginny Weasley, barely present here) stand a little shaky, but no matter: the most lucrative franchise in movie history to date has just reached its conclusion, and it's done so without losing its soul. --Ellen A. Easily the funniest, wildest, gay sex comedy since Another Gay Movie , David Lewis Longhorns is a the rauucous tale of a 'straight' Texas fratboy who realizes maybe he may not be all that straight after all. It's a Texas college circa 1982 - big hair, loud shirts and cowboy boots are considered high fashion- men are men, women are just future wives (or current sluts), and there is nothing gay about helping a guy out! Good ol fratboy Kevin is straight as an arrow (if you don't count his gay fantasies when f**king his girlfriend, or j**king off his fellow frat brothers) but he begins to see things a little queerly when he meets the sexy and together and openly gay Csar. Can a straight guy fall for another dude? And can Kevin continue going down on his old pal (Dylan Vox) under the belief that it is just fratboy hijinks? And will kissing Csar change him forever? Never has a film featured so many straight men doing so many gay things as beer is guzzled, pants are dropped and playful bed-hopping ensues. Fast, fun and sexy, Longhorns is already on its way to become a gay genre classic.

One of the most singular auteurs of the horror and science fiction genres, David Cronenberg has wowed audiences with his depictions of body transformations and explorations of society, this collection of his early short and feature films shows a master learning his craft and exploring many of the themes that would dominate his most celebrated work. Transfer (1966), Cronenberg's first short film, is a surreal sketch of a doctor and his patient. From the Drain (1967) finds two men in a bathtub, which may be part of a centre for veterans of a future war. Stereo (1969), Cronenberg's first official feature film, stunningly shot in monochrome, concerns telepaths at the Institute for Erotic Enquiry where patients undergo tests by Dr. Luther Stringfellow. In Crimes of the Future (1970) Cronenberg worked in colour and with a larger budget, where we find the House of Skin clinic director (Ronald Mlodzik, returning from Stereo) searching for his mentor, Antoine Rouge, who has disappeared following a catastrophic plague. Cronenberg's early amateur feature films, shot in and around his university campus, prefigure his later films' concerns with strange institutions, male/female separation and ESP, echoing the likes of Videodrome, Dead Ringers and Scanners.

David Lynch creator of Twin Peaks and acclaimed director of 'Eraserhead' 'Blue Velvet' and 'Wild At Heart' directs this bizarre but true story of courage and human dignity. John Hurt gives the performance of a lifetime as John Merrick the worst freak known to Victorian medical science a man whose body is hideously distorted into a grotesque parody of an elephant. Rescued from a travelling freak show by Sir Frederick Treves Merrick gradually reveals himself to be a strangely sweet and gentle man remarkably unembittered by the degradation and torment he suffered at the circus. Beautifully shot by Freddie Francis and with an excellent supporting cast including Sir John Gielgud Anne Bancroft and Dame Wendy Hiller The Elephant Man is a compelling moving and enchanting story. The film was nominated for eight Oscars including Best Picture Best Director and Best Actor.

First come the Shivers… then you turn RABID! Celebrated Canadian cult auteur David Cronenberg (The Fly Videodrome) followed up Shivers with this tense and gory thriller which expands upon the venereal disease theme of that film this time unleashing it on the whole of downtown Montreal – with terrifying consequences. When beautiful Rose (adult film star Marilyn Chambers) is badly injured in a motorcycle crash Dr. Keloid who is in the process of developing a revolutionary new type of skin-graft seizes the opportunity to test out his as yet unproven methods. The surgery appears successful and Rose seems restored to full health. But all is not as it should be – Rose has been transformed into a contagious blood-sucker endowed with a bizarre needle-like protrusion in her armpit with which she drains the blood from those unfortunate enough to be in her vicinity. An important landmark in the early career of Cronenberg Rabid sees the director returning to the viral theme of his earlier work but on a much larger (and more assured) scale – where the infection has shifted from the confines of a single apartment block to the expansive shopping centres and motorways of Canada’s second largest city.
