    Miss Eire the first full-length film in Irish is released for the first time on DVD. The era covered in the film spans the cultural revival and the political and military events surrounding 1916. Using archive material the film features actual footage of many of the leaders of the Rising - Pearse Connolly Clarke De Valera and Countess Markievecz and features film footage of the Rising. The film offers subtitles in English accompanied by extensive notes and commentary. Directed by George Morrison who had researched film archives for Irish material this DVD package also includes the 1966 commemorative film An Tine Bheo (directed by Louis Marcus) and Gael Linn newsreel (from the historic Amharc ireann series) of the making of and premiere of MISE EIRE. Music Composed and conducted by Sean Riada.
