Specialising in first time directors and showcasing over 200 shorts from the best and brightest of new talent the Raindance Film Festival is one of the most recognised film festivals in Europe for its short films programme. The new DVD from the 13th Raindance Film Festival held in 2005 encompasses a wide and diverse range of the best shorts from that edition of the festival. From the macabre animation of L'Amour Est to the anarchic Girlfriend In A Kimono the DVD features ten shorts from countries such as Canada and Spain as well as the best in homegrown talent. Highlights include the award-winners Right Place from Japanese advertiser Kosai Sekine (Diesel Film of The Festival) A Monk's Awakening from French director Lou Ma Ho (Official Selection Short) as well as the multi-award winning Yeah Yeah Yeah! from Spanish director Marcal Fores. Also included are the finalists of the Nokia Shorts competition from 2005 including the new handset category and the 2005 festival trailer directed by hot young talent Cam Archer whose first feature has just premiered at Sundance. FBI Special Agent Don Eppes (Rob Morrow) recruits his mathematical genius brother Charlie (David Krumholtz) to help the Bureau solve a wide range of challenging crimes in Los Angeles. The two brothers take on the most confounding criminal cases from a very distinctive perspective. Assisting Don at the FBI is his partner Terry Lake (Sabrina Lloyd) and new recruit David Sinclair (Alimi Ballard). Dr. Larry Fleinhardt (Peter MacNicol) is Charlie's friend and colleague who urges Charlie to focus more on his university studies than on FBI business.
