Michael Moore is the world's most successful and influential documentary filmmaker. He has produced a series of satirical documentaries beginning with Roger & Me which explored how General Motors' plant closings and layoffs devastated his hometown of Flint Michigan. He followed this with Bowling for Columbine which mocked America's gun culture and brought Moore to the world's attention. His last film Fahrenheit 9/11 was his most controversial to date and charted President Bush's skewed handling of the war on terrorism. Scheduled for release later this year in October is Sicko which takes aim at America's health care system. Manufacturing Dissent is a documentary that seeks to separate fact fiction and legend. Two Canadian filmmakers track Michael Moore on tour during the release of the explosive Fahrenheit 9/11 chronicling the politically supercharged climate in America that has fuelled Moore's transition from filmmaker to icon of the political left. The film raises interesting questions about Moore's research filmmaking and his presentation of the truth. The DVD contains previously unseen material and includes a section on ""TV Nation"" Moore's TV show from 1990's.

An intense drama about the passionate and destructive love triangle that consumed Shakespere in his troubled middle years - adapting some of the most celebrated sexual raw and vitriolic love poems ever written. Shakespeare''s Sonnets are the most compelling source for an emotional and dramatic journey into the psychology of the man himself. Self-analytical brutally honest they allow us to go behind the scenes of this complex genius - they are his story told in his own words. Behind the lyrical beautifully crafted language a brooding obsession with the 'Lovely Boy'' and Shakespeare''s extra-marital relationship with a 'Dark Lady'' is revealed. The sonnet sequence is his unique meditation on love sex mortality and the creative urge which has tantalised scholars and casual readers alike. With a host of famous faces in the leading roles the drama brings the bawdiness and the pitfalls of 16th century promiscuity to life. Rupert Graves Zo'' Wanamaker and Anna Chancellor star.
Aviation was still only in its infancy when military strategists began to think of its importance for waging war. The first World War saw brave pilots risk their lives in 'dog fights' over the trenches and men like Manfred von Richthofen the Red Baron and Ernst Udet became national heroes in Germany. The Versaille Agreement put a quick end to further development of the German air force even though a great deal was carried out in secret. Then came Hitler's meteoric rise to power and the German Luftwaffe staged a full dress rehearsal of modern war plane technology during the Spanish civil war. The Luftwaffe quickly became a war machine to be reckoned with. The swift victories achieved during early years of World War II would not have been possible without the German air force. The gradual build-up of Allied air superiority during the course of the war later prompted German scientists and engineers to concentrate on the first jet-powered and rocket-propelled aircraft. But these revolutionary new technologies came too late to stave off the gradual collapse of the German forces. This programme features rare film excerpts in colour and black and white which illustrate the development of the German air force from 1914 onwards in an objective and exciting way.
