July Jung writes and directs this South Korean drama. After being charged with personal misconduct, promising police academy graduate Lee Young-nam (Bae Doona) is sent from Seoul to the quiet seaside town of Yeosu where she meets withdrawn 14-year-old local Sun Do-hee (Kim Sae-ron). After Do-hee's grandmother is fatally injured in a tragic accident, Young-nam takes the troubled teenager into her care to protect her from the abuse of her violent, drunken stepfather Park Yong-ha (Song Sae-byeok). But when Young-nam's past catches up with her in Yeosu, her interference into the influential family's affairs brings unwanted attention upon her.
